More Good Things

Sorry for the delay.  Got caught up in Thanksgiving festivities and just life. I gotta be honest, lately I feel like I’m balancing it all just so right that with the slightest error in time or decision it’s gonna come tumbling down.  Yup, and I hate posting stuff like this, cuz I really do have the most amazing family and job and friends and everything I could ever dream for and more but sometimes work consumes me. The worst part is I don’t know how to let it not consume me. I love what I do, so …ahh.ok I gotta stay focused… we are leaving in a few hours and I still haven’t introduced you to the rest of the crew nor taken a shower and packed. And I must add Gabe is upstairs begging to decorate for Christmas…
12. Jenni Vorderman- she’s a gal that you need to say her full name. Oh, what to say about Jenni Vorderman. We don’t get to hang out a lot but it seems we are traveling buddies.  Which I love cuz then we can have each other’s full attention.  Love this girl

13. Christy Spencer- a few years ago I heard her ask if anyone wanted to go To Paris. I piped up and said “Joe and I”.  This is the go to gal whenever I want to do something spur of the moment.  Paris, Peru and Africa

14. Jami Davis- She was an eBay customer long ago.  She’s got my back through it all.

15. Chase- Anne’s nephew that she can’t get enough of.  And I can’t wait to get to know him better

16.17. Linda and Charlotte- without them there’d be no trip. The wife and daughter of Mark from Chicks for Children.  Charlotte sent me a letter one day asking about their fundraiser and herewe are today!!

18. Jeff Holt- the latest addition. He was recommended to video our next shoot, I checked out his site and knew that very moment he had to join us.  So out of the blue I emailed a stranger and said “come to Africa”.  He said YES

19. Kari- Gotta love the girl who wins the Auction for Amber. I’ve only heard great things about Kari so I’m dying to get to know her better!

20. 21. Denise and Caleb- this would be Lynette’s sister and son. I figured my sisters were coming so Lynette’s should too. This gal is amazing.  She stepped up, said “what can I do?” from there her and Jami have taken care of every last little detail.

22. Zack- the youngest of the 26. Many of you met Zack at 435 art fair last year. He’s one of my best friends sons and I knew how much Peru opened up Sara Brown’s eyes to the world .  I couldn’t wait to share that with Zack. I love this kid

23. Carla- Of course there is no way Carla could not come. This is where her heart and soul is. She works so hard to be able to find time to give back. Oh, and for those of you who haven’t heard of Carla. She was our every first production gal in Peru.

I so cannot focus and I am missing someone. Ashleigh had to cancel at last minute but there is still one more and I’m so bad I cannot think. Ok, well, whoever it is..I promise to update a full blog on them when I get to the airport.

Love you guys and thanks so much for supporting Matilda Jane and  giving us the the gifts to get to do so many great things. I am so happy and so nervous all at the same time. Oh, and I’m gonna miss my kids and David. Sometimes I think I travel way too much but I am so lucky they support me through it.  Ok….gotta stop stressing and go take a shower!!  David, please proof read and correct my numerous typos!
