Only 3 more days and I’ll be on my way to Africa for the third time.
I started getting stuff together last night and I think it has finally hit me that we are actually going back.
I feel like I have half a million things to to before then but am hoping time passes quickly.
This trip is going to be more of a “man trip,” only me and two other gals along with the group of boys!
I’m exited to see their first reactions and how they will processes everything,
I can’t wait to see them bonding with the kids and see them lose their hearts to complete strangers.

I started a blog/journal to keep my thoughts and help me continue to process everything that I have experience during my trips and it’s amazing to see how quickly the emotions that I thought I had processed and moved on from come flooding back as soon as I start putting my thoughts into words again.
The past couple of days I have spent the last part of my evenings looking through photos from my first trip to Rwanda and then photos from our last trip to Kenya and…well,
I am not sure how to even put my emotions into words. I have an unconditional love for the women in Kigali and the children in Kitale.
I would do anything to make sure they are safe and healthy.
I am excited to see how their futures are changed for the better through the support of Denise and Matilda Jane.
Denise has forever changed my life by allowing me to be a part of these trips.
Africa will forever have my heart.

I can wait to see this sweet boy! Oh, I love him so much!
I don’t know if you can tell but I have a huge heart for Africa and Tuesdays are my day to blog and I can never think of anything that is better to blog than Africa.
So, I hope you don’t mind hearing a little more about my love each week.

Okay, well, I am sure I will have lots to share next Tuesday along with lots of photos but until then here is one more photo of my sweet Oliver!

What you are doing is so wonderful. Each time you post pics I cannot help but see my own children in the eyes of the kids that y’all are supporting there. I can only pray that if my circumstance had been different…had God chosen to place me in a different spot in His world, it would have been here. Good luck and safe travels.
You amaze me everyday, Kiara. From doing the littlest things to making these great voyages across the world – you have one of the biggest hearts I have the privilege of knowing. Thank you for everything you do and for the beautiful person you are. Xx
Kiara, we all love Oliver and look forward to seeing pictures and reading your blog next Tuesday. Denise and so many of you at MJC have allowed many of us to travel a bit of these journeys with you and to share by sending our love and prayers with you as you go.
Have a safe trip and give Oliver hugs for me too! He is such a cutie pie.
Africa! Keep blogging about and loving Africa! I hope to get back there some day and love traveling with you through your words and images. This journey (I am speaking big picture)is amazing and I thank you for sharing with us. Oliver has such a sweet face! I never know if that look of “hope” in these darlings’ eyes is their own or a projection of what I feel when I see them…
Either way it’s powerful!
Safe travels always!
Has there been any thoughts of a drive with art fair? Like a clothing drive, book drive, art supplies, etc from everyone coming for art fair. You have so much enthusiasm for this. I am sure many of us would contribute!
I never tire of seeing photos from Africa. The most beautiful faces…. make the most of that time!
