After almost a week in Peru, we got home Friday evening. It was a hectic week and I have a feeling it will only continue. We worked like craze, leaving the hotel to only visit with Carla. I knew I wanted to have my mind clear when I got home. I only had one and half days with the boys. Tomorrow morning Lynette and I leave again, for another 5 day meeting. Oh, I miss my boys. Joe had a game this morning. Let me brag for one second,…blah, blah, blah..he is becoming quite the little baseball player. He’s catching and throwing with great speed and hitting like non other! Oh, but he always saves the best for last….
We got tons, and I mean tons of entries for the 435 contest. WOW. I had the 435 gals weed through them and narrow it down cuz I knew time was short. I ran into the workshop tonite to grab some stuff and saw all the bins. I started walking out the door, and stopped. I thought to myself, “who the heck do you think you are, that you can just walk out? All these people spent time and heart working on their entries and I wasn’t even taking my time to go through them?” I grabbed all the bins and loaded them in the car, and home I went. It’s just past midnight and I am still reading and going through ALL of them. I cannot begin to tell you how amazing it feels to read all these. It really means a lot, thank you.
They are all so different in many ways, and alike in many. It is pretty hard. Some are super simple but just strike a chord with me, while others are beyond extravagant and I am in awe of the workmanship. It’s gonna be hard, real hard. The girls had it narrowed to their top 10, but guess what, I sure did switch it up. It is weird how some are almost as if I wrote it…you guys are good.
It’s gonna be hard to narrow back down to 10. Real hard.
Okay, before I fall asleep I have to tell you this…when we were in Florida I saw the cutest birdhouse. I cam home googled it up, bought it and put it up for one reason only. And that reason being cuteness. Well, it is called Purple Martin Birdhouse, and sure enough look what I saw this morning. How is that possible? How did he know it was for them? We have 2 living in the subdivision (aka birdhouse) as of today. SO weird, for real…are they that smart?
Alright, well I have to go unpack from yesterday and re-pack for tomorrow. And if any of you see me at the airport you know why I look like crap, cuz I am exhausted and miss my boys.
I almost forgot to finish. This is typical Joe fashion…win or lose the kid is so excited. Seriously, they lost and this is him running into the dugout after shaking hands. The boy is the best cheer leader, he loves…can’t think of what I am trying to say, but he just gets so darn excited for others who do well!! Okay, so that doesn’t make sense, but get it, right?
And I left my camera at the office so Sam with get the finalists up real soon.

Denise.. you must be really proud of your son. Obviously he takes after his mother in his Joy to see others happy. I do wish I could read your mind for the model search contest! LOL.. I have 4 daughters and will enter them all… sure hope I have a chance, cause of course I think my girls are beautiful… but doesn’t every parent? and then when I look at some of the pics you post I think wow.. There are a lot of cute kids:0) Hope you have another safe trip!!
Its so tough to keep going and going when you just want to be with your kids. I got the afternoon off today because my sister came and took them to the park so I could have quiet time for sewing – and while it was nice to get things done – I so missed them! I hope you get a break soon and can get back to lots of time with those boys

Have no idea how you do it, all the running and still able to be a great mom, a designer and well what most of us call a friend.
The pixs of Joe are awesome and we must remember it’s not if you win or lose, it’s how you play the game and he’s happy…… So that’s one of those priceless moments!

I forgot to tell you… When I was leaving Vegas on Monday I was in the airport and a little girl about 5 yrs old comes strolling by me in the Summertime Tank dress and the simple white tee underneath.. I felt kinda spec. since I knew who designed that dress

Just in love with the fact that you got a purple martin house. I did my Master’s thesis on the Purple Martin and their reproductive success in different housing types. BUT…that bird on the top of the gourds you bought is an Eastern Bluebird. You have probably missed the beginning of the breeding season for the Purple Martin, but you may be able to attract some young males and females this year. Don’t get discouraged, sometimes it take a while to get an established Purple Martin community. Best wishes, and feel free to give me a shout if you have ANY questions! You are gonna LOVE watching them, they are amazing! Hope all that info didn’t bore anyone too much…haha!

DESPARATE!!!! Someone stole my daughters size 4 dottie leggings from gypsy blue. Dose anyone out there have a pair size 4 or 6 that they are wanting to sell me?????? I have like a million pieces that go with them and my mom feels terible about losing them…..even though she didn’t lose them someone stole them from her at the gym. Please, please, please my sweetpea is heartbroken she thinks it her fault that they are gone. On the lighter side my daughter proudly walked out of the gym that day in her Ariel undies and her Sara Babydoll top!!!!!
