Serendipity

It’s a rainy cold day here in Fort Wayne and I’m sitting at my desk as usual and working on colors for Spring 14.  I wound up going through Serendipity photos and couldn’t help but spend a little time daydreaming over them.  I’m not even gonna turn around and look out the window cuz ahead of me is sunshine and cheery colors. Aghhh I love Spring. And I love Spring Break. Only 1.5 weeks, okay 2!

Franklin got a hair cut this weekend and has been hiding ever since. Literally, hiding. Poor guy. He is so embarassed. He’s spent 2 days in Joe’s bedroom sleeping, he doesn’t even hang out with Joe. He’s totally Gabe’s dog. Those 2 are crazy about each other. Sidetrack- I need to rent Homeward Bound. I think Gabe would love it.  And Joe?  I’ve been trying my hardest not to sound like I am quizzing him everyday about his life. And he’s been handing me his phone with no hesitation at any given moment. We are getting there! It’s so crazy to look at him and think he’s a kid…not a child. It’s so crazy that he is totally his own person and every day I am seeing it more and more. It was so great when I could say how to act, what to say, when to …but now all I can do is hope I did a good job.

I keep seeing all these email ads for Easter and I gotta say, this is my fave top for Easter….and it is from Serendipity. I’m pretty certain we still have some.

And as far as dresses…Oh my goodness, Good Hart is filled with them!

The girls are coming back from China tomorrow. I can’t wait. I’m itching to finish up with Spring 14. And in the back of my mind, I can’t wait for Sam to come to 435 to start building racks for Art Fair. I  could totally do it myself, but it’s been empty for a bit and makes me a tad nervous to go. Ha, empty buildings are too quiet and when Sam gets nervous she is so loud. Perfect combination. Did you know we are going to have a Christmas section this year at Art Fair? Did you know that Livie and Luca will also be there? Did you know, pretty certain Maya’s Curls will be there. She’s been working hard to make it happen.I hope she can, cuz you will adore her. There is something about meeting people face to face, hearing their story and falling in love with why they do what they do. Aghh..I am getting so excited. And I promise you the best selection yet, with the prettiest, boldest, brightest colors. And for the ones that like the softer colors, I told Sam we need a Shabby Chic section too. I think you are going to be surprised at….. I can’t say. All I know is I am smiling huge right now!
