Spread the Love, Matilda Jane Style

I think I have been asked at least 5 times this weekend what I want for Christmas. And all 5 times I responded, “Really, nothing.”  I have so much, so much. But that is a story for another day. Today is the day we talk about Spread The Love, our favorite event of the year at Matilda Jane Clothing.

There is nothing I love more than sending out surprise packages. I love it and would do it all day long if I could.  Seriously, what is better than putting a smile on someone’s face?  I’m totally smiling thinking about it.  Now your job is to shoot us an email with who you think we should surprise with a nice MJC package. It could be a teacher, a friend,  your mom or pretty much anyone that you want to put a smile on their face. We will need a complete address and sizes to be considered.  Please note due to the volume of requests we get we will not be able to reply to all of them therefore  you MUST include the above information to be considered.  We’ll keep this running for as long as we can get it to them in time for the holidays.  And if you saw my Pink Tree, I am so dying to send a little girl a tree with little presents. So cute and she would totally be in love! I can see it now..and I am in love with what I see.  And this year we stocked up on sparkly trees.  The girls in the warehouse took turns over the past few weeks shopping and getting all ready to send some pretty amazing boxes.

And now is the time to put your thinking cap on.  Do you drive by a certain house on the way to school and see kids playing in the yard that you think would love a huge surprise box on their door? Do you know a group of little girls, or maybe even a crew of teachers at school, or maybe it could be a nice lady you see at the store everyday checking out your groceries. Or it could be a friend who is down on her luck or a friend that makes you smile everyday and you want to return that smile.

Oh, so many  things to think about. But one thing for sure…you MUST BE COMPLETE when sending us your information. We need Full Shipping Address, name(s) or if you do not know let us know it is a stranger, and we will need ages and sizes.  Once you have all this information please email us at [email protected]. But please put all information in one single email.

Thanks!

And  a huge thank you to Monica for helping me out!! Seriously, these photos are amazing! Be sure to check her out at  monikamcsweeneyphotography.com. Miss Grace had the cutest Halloween costume,  just you wait. You will LOVE.

Well, I could think of a special teacher at West Side in Cheboygan who would LOVE some MJC for her girls…unfortunately I don’t know her daughter’s sizes:( I know that sizes two and four are a safe bet though.

Her name is Hope Diamond, and she is hands down one of the most awesome teachers I have ever met. She is selfless and kind, and genuinely loves her students.

This is such an awesome thing you do. There is a family I know about through a friend that I need to see if I can find info on so I can email you guys about them. The whole family (Mom, Dad, 2 year old boy and 5 year old girl…I think I am remembering the ages correctly) were in a car accident. They were struck head on by another driver going about 55mph. This was early in November. Both parents suffered severe head injuries. The Mom “celebrated” her 30th birthday in the hospital on the 13th. This past week, after receiving the news that the Dad was brain dead, he was removed from life support and passed away. The Mom is still in the hospital as far as I know. I can’t begin to fathom the loss this family is dealing with and at the holidays at that. I don’t know this family personally, but I’ve not been able to get them off my mind since I heard of their situation. When I think of Spread the Love I can’t help but think of them.
