Time well spent

Oh Monday mornings… They can be rough, right? Especially when you get back from China on Saturday at 9PM and can’t sleep until Sunday at 6AM?!?! I swear I’m still on China time because I woke up at 2AM today ready to go!

But man was it a productive trip! Kayla, Amy, and myself left 12 days ago but it felt like we were gone for a month. Maybe because we got so much work done!

We visited new factories, explored new parts of Shanghai, and road train after train, and then a bus, and then another cab, and then so many planes… I’m exhausted and my mind is spinning with new ideas for Fall 2013 adult collection, new relationships with our manufacturers, and the Spring 2013 photo shoot that’s this weekend!

Ya, did I mention I leave again this Thursday for California? Like I said, I’m spinning! But I’d rather be moving than standing still. And I’m pretty excited to travel with Yama again. She’s so great.

I want to tell you more about our trip. I do. Because to me, not only did we work our butts off (well…I wish this happened!!!!), but we got to spend a lot of time together just getting to know each other. I mean, Amy and Yama just started this summer and we are always so busy that we never get a chance to just chat. But there was plenty of time to get to know each other while we traveled across China. And I also loved getting to know Kayla all over again. We’ve worked together for soooo long, but it’s like we are in different worlds at MJC. It was so, so nice to be on the same page with her again.

There are so many new items for Spring 2013. I can hardly stand it! Trust me, it’s not easy to keep these secrets from you! But the boss says I have to
