Yes, and I even read a book today, thanks to a wonderful customer. I am telling you when we opened these books at the the office we all freaked…and today I started putting one of them to good use! We lived on Pembroke Lane for 12 years. Loved that place, my house was awesome and the backyard was so small and cozy. We’d spend all day inside in the A/C and we’d hang out in the back all night till the wee hours. Now that we have moved, we have been spending all day outside. It is glorious. I’m still trying to get the backyard together for the 435 Saturday night party (detail tomorrow, I promise).
And the best part about it is it is only 5 minute bike ride to Pembroke Lane. So it is still in the great ‘ole neighborhood!
Yes, I know you are waiting to hear the Top 5 (Top 6 actually…because 5th and 6th were within just 1 vote of each other). But for real, you gotta know how hard it was even to pick the top 14. WOW. We are so flattered by all the time and effort you all put into this contest, thank you. It means a lot to us. And of the top 14 you guys voted to make up the Top 5. We got a lot of thinking to do and tomorrow we’ll pick ya a winner! And the CoverGirl, my gosh this is hard. I have gone through at least 8-900 photos, read some of the best comments and fell in love with the sweetest girls over the past few days. I still have another tub to go through. Wonder how I pick? Well, I open all the envelopes, read them, lay them out on a table for a while, do whatever, come back to the table, take a few away, and repeat. I then call Joe in to see what he thinks, and then Gabe and then David. We usually all end up at least picking one of the same in every round. Here is a picture after about 10 or so rounds…of all the ones we agreed on together. It’s still on my table waiting to cut back more…and we still have at least 500+ pics to go through!!!
I just want to say it was such a blessing to be in the top 14 and an honor. Congratulations to the top 5. It will be hard for ya’ll to pick a winner I know. Best of luch to you all!

As for the photo contest, even though I think my Em is one of the cutest things around…I am not optomistic that we will win with the stiff competition out there. But oh how I would love to have her pic show up on your blog! That would make my day!

We have been so excited about this contest! Not to mention so anxious to see the outcome!!! I can not tell you how thrilling it is to be in the Top 5, there were so many outstanding entries! We are so glad so many MJ fans enjoyed our song(thanks for the votes), we really tried to express how BEAUTIFUL all the little girls out there feel in their BEAUTIFUL Matilda Jane clothes!

wow. . .this is exciting! my daughters are so excited that their drawings got us into the top 5! when i told my little one she said, “well, i’m glad i worked so hard on the striped leggings!” so cute and so fun! thanks for bringing lots of smiles to my house!
I can’t even imagine how hard of a job it must be to not only pick a winner for the Art fair contest but then to have to pick ONE cute girl for your cover girl contest! Shwooo! Now that’s some work.
