Last week I got a taste of life in the beautiful, green, and pure Michigan. Yep, I took a vacation!
And holy smokes did I love every second of it. I loved spending time with two of my closest friends Mark (THE BOYFRIEND) and Zoe (ROOMMATE). I loved sleeping in (and staying up late). I loved wearing the same clothes for 3 days (surprisingly enough I do not do this at work ha!). I loved Harbor Springs and Petoskey, and the many shops they hold! Gosh I just loved it all.
I think what surprised me most is how much I enjoyed taking a break. Trust me, it’s not easy for me to say that!!! Because I live, breathe, and eat MJC (hehe), but at the same time, doesn’t everyone get worn out eventually? Even the wonderful job I have here can weigh me down occasionally. I think it’s normal, and most of the time I think it’s because I do care so much about it. I think vacation was the perfect way to renew my outlook on…pretty much everything.
If you haven’t taken a vacation or had a break this year I really suggest you do!! Even if it’s a long weekend at home, just turn your phone off and unplug the laptop for a day or two. It’s crazy the relief you can feel when the world’s not waiting on you. And as for me? I have a lot of catching up to do from being away last week. But at least it’s super cute stuff like…oh I don’t know…a bunch of Spring 2013 adult samples! Seriously, the adult line for next Spring is…a dream.
Oh my gosh and I almost forgot to tell you! I got another cat! Ha…if you know me, you might be rolling your eyes right now or laughing…but I can’t help it. I’m a kitten collector
Anyway, her name is Cheese Guzzo and she’s my fourth and last kitty. At least that’s what Mark says. Or at least until I learn to clean out the litter box myself! Ugh.

Cheee Guzzo is to die for! Just train them to use the potty “Meet the Parents” style (or get a self cleaning litter box).

I for one am so glad you took a break! Everyone needs it. Time to refresh, charge that battery, and get inspired. And I don’t just mean about clothes…. everything gets a beautiful new outlook when you’ve removed yourself for a while. Its a blessing.

My hubby says I’m that way about kids…right now we have 5! I think one more would be nice, but he says I’ll always want one more, so he is putting his foot down!
