I gotta say it, without a question this is my most favorite photo of the Fall Line. Okay, one of my favorites. I just love this girl. Talk about a natural beauty not to mention, this girl ropes horses!! yes, like a cowboy! How cool is that?
Not sure if you know mys sister Dayna, but she is an animal lover, horseback rider, save anything with 4 legs type of girl. So of course when we decided to go to Michigan for the shoot, she instantly suggested she pick all the girls for the shoot. And when you let Dayna have a say in anything, you know animals will most certainly be involved!!

So my friend Anne (my Insanity and Isagenix side kick) have been joking around about our upcoming trip to Africa. Anne’s nephew, Chase, is also joining us on the trip. He is as smitten with animals as Dayna. And we are kinda thinking we may need these 2 to sign some type of agreement that we will not be bringing any animals back home with us nor even entertaining the thought. I can see it now, “…but Nece, you don;t understand. I can’t leave this dog here with no shelter, he can’t continue to eat garbage….” It’s gonna be a battle. I mean I love animals, love them but chances of me packing a bag of dog chow or flea collars in my luggage is pretty slim. Now Dayna? Chase? Ya, we may need to cover that topic.
No clue, how I even got on that subject when there is 20 other things to chat about. One, I gotta admit I have been a pretty bad blogger lately. It’s always a tough call for me. I could blog everyday but I’m like, “do they really wanna here about my life?” I always feel like I need to blog Matilda Jane related. I mean, don’t get me wrong Matilda Jane is my life but sometimes, I just sit down and start to vent about my day full of life and kids and it’s tough. I hate to sound negative when I blog. There are so many great things to chat about. And sometimes, the day is so full of Gabe crying in the backseat cuz the girl next to him found out he had a crush on her, Franklin getting into the garbage while I was at work and I come home to garbage all over the house or my way too expensive Isagenix shakes spilled all over the floor cuz Franklin got on the counter and chewed them up, or no one changes the dang cat litter but me, and why on earth does my dishwasher never clean dishes as clean as they should be not to mention the cat hair and the kids dirty clothes all over the place or the wet towel thrown on my bed……blah blah blah.
Yup, there is lots to do. And as many of you know, being a working mom, let a lone a stay at home mom is very very challenging at times. I feel so guilty when I am checking Facebook while Joe is trying to tell me a story or my head is full of what needs to get down at work when Gabe is just begging me to cuddle up. Maybe I should’ve just been a juggler in the circus, huh?
Wow, I so went off on a tangent and I must get back to focusing on my to do list so I can try to watch America’s Got Talent…Man, I miss Michael Grimm. Oh, and I bet you did not know I was a “Claymate” back in the days of Clay Aiken on American Idol. Yup, I think that and Laker Hockey is the only chat boards I have ever been on.

I have to make the no animal agreements with my girls ALL.THE.TIME!
You are an awesome mom! And for what it is worth, you do such an amazing jog of balancing it all: family, work, passion. Love that about you!
I love your rambling, ever subject switching, blog posts! I know a girl that was instantly oh-ing and ah-ing over the horse picture… followed by a, man, I wish I was at that shoot! I have a feeling she might have made friends with the roping girl up there right away
. She’s into cow sorting these days… most bizarre sport… google it and you’ll see!
I hope Joe had a fabulous birthday!!
Please, please, PLEASE continue to blog as much as life will let you! I so enjoy reading your blog, especially when you’re the one who has done the post. don’t get me wrong, it’s great to hear from your girls…but it the absolute best to hear from YOU about whatever!!! You’re such an inspiration to so many gals, especially ones like me. Thanks for posting and being a sister juggler. Love to hear from you!!!
I love when you talk about your life!
It is actually great that you share the good, the bad, the ugly. It is part of all our lives and it makes us real. When it rains it always seems to pour. We just did a military move and a whole box of DVD’s are missing. Seems trivial but just keep thinking about all that money or why would another family get the box and think it is o.k to keep it
Then yesterday my favorite Lois Hill bracelet fell off in Kohls out here and so far no one has turned it in as well. It stinks because it was my last purchase for myself as I am no longer working. So I only had it for about 3 weeks
It just sometimes feels like you can catch a break.
That sweet little girl is adorable. She has such a natural beauty and love that she works with horses. I have to make sure I tell my daughter. She would love her! My daughter can not understand why she can’t ride a horse out here in Texas.
Oh man I am rumbling! lol Hang in there, the day will get better!
So great to have you blog. I was laughing out loud about your list of complaints….they sound so familiar to me and many others. It is okay to vent – a good way to get it out of the system! Loved the horses in the photo shoot. I grew up riding Morgans and the horses and all of the tack make for such a beautiful photo.
Happy Birthday Joe!
I don’t mind your blog posts. I love to hear about your everyday life too.
Oh how I love and miss you…XOXO
