It pretty much goes like this: around 7am or so we go in his room and say “Gabey, it’s time to get up”. He squirms and hides deep in the fluffy blankets. You feel around trying to squish him. Finally you find him (we call Mr. Chittles….a name David invented). He begs you to rub his back, get dressed, brush teeth and regular H&B stuff…carry him downstairs and be sure he has a snack and chocolate milk. Bundle him up, put in car and respond to 20 questions on the way to school. Oh, he is such a little guy.
Today they had a Holiday party. He actually wore something beside a Tshirt with a huge image on it. If it does not have an image of some sort he will not wear it. All shirts MUST have pictures. So funny. I’m not quite sure why little kids have to constantly tug on clothing…and I mean Gabe tugging on ME. I was like, “Please stop lifting up my skirt, pulling down my shirt and touching my hair.” Oh my gosh!!
We ran to the store afterward. I saw some friends and Gabe instantly hid behind the column and unbuttoned his shirt so Evan and Kelly could see his Tshirt with picture. Are your boys like this? It is for real, super important to Gabe his shirts have things on them and that people can see them. He has even said, “Mom, but they won’t see the picture” if I layer his shirts up wrong!
Then we ran to 435 to get some work down. And believe it or not, Gabe was there for a good 2 hours and was actually well behaved!
Off to check on the water for the ice rink. This should be good. And if we do succeed at making this so called ice rink trust me I’ll be doing A LOT of bragging.
OK…..Alicia, you were right. I love this photo!
