Lots of anticipation is brewing! I can feel it….but guess what? So I got to read The Sandbucket form front to back! Seriously, it is such a breath of fresh air. Ha, it should be on the news cuz all those regular stories get depressing a bit. The Sandbucket is full of just good stuff that will make your heart full. I’ll even give you permission to make fun of my interview, which I think is kinda fun. Oh, so fun cuz it reminds me so much of growing up with my brother Doug. I LOVE HIM! I love all of my family but this interview just reminded me lots of Doug.
.png)
Ha, I just realized there is also something in the above phot0 that reminds me so much of someone I LOVE beyond words. You’ll have to look good. But for a random 10 of you who can name what it is and who the person is behind the memory I’ll give you each my favorite Serendipity outfit.

OH Girls your a little off. Those seashells were in a special box in a special home with the most wonderful person I know. Everyone that knows that person loves him or her.
This is a good quiz Nece,

Had a hard time seeing, but finally realized it might be the penny necklace that reminds you of your grandfather 🙂
I can’t believe I missed this blog yesterday, but my guess if I’m not too late is the penny necklace on Sam is reminding you of your grandpa?!?
sand or pennies? Remind you of your sister Dayna? playing when you were young…not exactly sure but would love a chance to win 🙂 It’s been a while since I have had time to read the blog as faithfully as I use to “Back in the Day” lol Or maybe the brown sand reminds you of your sweet niece Sara Brown…
It reminds you of your BROTHER DOUG? Maybe yall used to dig for starfish or sea shells growing up?? Reminds me of digging for shells with my mom on Hilton Head Island Beach as a kid, sad I am not able to enjoy that with her anymore but maybe this summer I can continue the tradition with my daughter.
The penny necklace that makes you think of your Grandpa.
For sure, the penny and your Grandpa!
This may be a duplicate post (sorry if it is but I could not see the earlier one). Think this is the shiny penny necklace Sam is wearing like the ones your grandfather made for art fair.
I just scrolled through and didn’t see my earlier post. Hope it went in but just in case I said the penny necklace that Sam is wearing like the ones your grandfather made for art fair. Sorry if this is posted 2 times.

Is Sam wearing one of the Penny Necklaces? Your AWESOME grandfather made them for all the kiddoes who came to Art Fair? <3
I am a little late to the game … but, I am going to have to say the penny necklace on the photo with the green dress and it brings fond memories of your grandpa (or in our house … our papa). 🙂
I’m going to have to say it reminds you of the best man standing…Your grandpa who made penny necklace’s for all the children that came to your 435 Art fair!
I’m reminded of the footprints in the sand story as I look at this. Reminds me (and hopefully all eyes that read this) that God will carry us when we cannot walk alone. We just need to ask his help. Have a happy release day, Ms. Denise and all who work so hard to make it happen.
Penny necklace and Grandpa who made it.
Penny necklace and your grandfather!
Making footprints in the sand with your best friend 🙂
I think I see a penny necklace on Sam…so it has to be that necklace and how it reminds you of you Grandpa who made all of this cute necklaces for the kids 😉
Your sweet grandpa! And the penny necklace 🙂
May be a long shot, but is the blurred spot above the bucket a sea gull and maybe one of your boys at the beach or your wonderful husband.– yes long shot, but you did say we had to look hard.
I am going to agree the the boots and a reminder of a dear Grandfather.

If we are guessing for the very top picture, then I would have to definitely say the penny necklace reminds you of your grandpa. OR how about the cup and saucer on the pile of books reminding you of your grandma.
I’d say the depression cup and saucer reminds you of your grandmother…can’t wait to see the rest of serendipity!!
I felt bad going to bed last night after my comment of Gabe being your little superstar and leaving out Joe. So I have to add Joe to the comment… Or how about the starfish for Joe, your big superstar!
I’m thinking penny and your grandpa. Please be right!!
The Penny Necklace that Sam is wearing. Your Grandpa made the penny necklaces for the 2011 Art Fair party so that picture reminds you of him.

Hmmm…I’m gonna guess the pic reminds you of the lady who works at Dunkin Donuts and fills those lovely lil Boston Creme donuts with custard! Wait, do Dunkin Donuts employees have pink uniforms??
Is it Butters, Sam’s cat?
penny/// grandpa
The person is your Grandpa Larry …. The item … hmmm … is either the “Penny Neckless” Sam is wearing …, or, (I know … this is totally out-there, as I always am …) if it is a figure skate that the other gorgeous girl (in the other gorgeous dress!) is wearing, then that reminded you of him because he and your Grandma Phyllis would turn a field across the street into a skating rink, and he would also offer to sharpen your and your friends’ skates …?
Penny necklace and your grandpa.

Penny and the penny necklaces your grandpa makes 🙂
Your brother Doug
I am going to guess that the pink bucket is likely a throw-back to memories of childhood. And as you referenced in an earlier post, perhaps a special memory linked to your sister. The photos all symbolize the joy and security of childhood. The creating of memories.
Your clothing does the same: allows awesome, colorful memories to be created!
the starfish and joe
The penny necklace from dear Grandpa! 🙂

The penny necklace that your granddad made that Sam is wearing!
I honestly do not have a clue, I have tried numerous times to figure out your challenges and never have any luck… But I will take a longshot guess. The little kitty cat, Dont you have one? I forget its name… you hardly post pictures of him/her anymore since Franklin is around. Maybe it made you think of your cat? Or The vintage depression tea set, belongs to your grandmother. And its your favorite, That is why you included it in the shoot???

I am not sure which photo to comment on. I see that Sam has on a penny necklace that your Grandpa made and I am sure that reminds you of him and his generosity and how he loves to make things for others.
Then there is the starfish that might remind you of Joe because he is such a star at rockin’ all the talents God gave him.

Your grandfather with with the seashells
The penny in the sand reminds you of your Grandpa because he made those penny necklaces at Art Fair
footprints and grandpa
I’m going to guess the starfish — only because my girls found one last summer at the beach and it MADE THEIR DAY! They both lit up with excitment at their new found treasure. (we “saved” it and tossed it back in the water) Did one of your boys find one at the beach too? It’s funny how the small things make the memory. Can wait for tomorrow! 🙂
would that be Sandi? 🙂
Ok, because you said look hard, I am going to say the necklace that Sam is wearing reminds you of he penny necklaces that your grandfather used to make.

I think I see one of those Coquinas shells–the ones that stay connected so they look like butterfly. It reminds me of shells at Sanibel/Captiva. I’m semi-new to following your blog, so I’m not sure who it reminds you of. I’ll guess your brother Doug.
maybe your sister Sandi?

Going out on a limb here, but in the sandbox pic is there the ever so faintest image of a peanut nestled in front of the shell on the right?? Does it remind you of your awesome hubby and his love for hockey? Do they even eat peanuts at the games?
🙂
Tracy
I think it is a penny in the sand that reminds you of your Grandfather that made the wonderful penny necklaces!
Growing up with your brother,Doug, whom you love so very much.
Sandi Bucket? Lions paw shells and your broth Doug or Grandpa? You can’t tell I’m guessing can you? LOL

If you look really close, there is a reflection of sunlight on the sand bucket. I’m going to go with that and say Sam because she is just a big ball of sunshine 🙂
the pink bucket// sam
the sand // Sam
The sandy beach aka your sister sandy!
A sandy beach aka your sister sandy!
Starfish touching remind you of trips to the beach with your sister, Sandi…
I am guessing that in the formost shell looks like there maybe a face on it with eyes looking down but with a big smile. Maybe it is the look that you Grandpa would look at you like if you were sitting on his lap! I know that I have good memories sitting on my grandpa’s lap and how he always smelled like walnuts!
The sand reminds you of your sister Sandy?!
Starfish, grandpa
Really stumped me on this one, but I’m guess it’s the sandbucket that reminds you of Sandi 🙂
Starfish & Grandfather
jOe!!!!!!!!!!
I would have to say your cat.. You sure love it…
And or the fact that you love the boys filling up the buckets with there treasures they find on the beach.
Wild guess here – the bucket handle & franklin?? 😀
The starfish are holding hands-it reminds you of your youngest son Gabe.
There appears to be a shadow of a child dancing / playing / posing as a starfish behind the bucket. 🙂 My guess is that the shadow is from either Gabe and/or Joe.
I’ve been buying MJ for over three years and for some reason I’m thinking it is the starfish and seashells and memories of your Grandpa. Maybe, or am I just dreaming that up???
starfish and your hubby David
starfish and your mom
Sand, your sister Sandi
I have absolutely NO CLUE WHATSOEVER, but I am going with the footprints in the sand and playing with your brother on the beach when you guys were little. Now, I just want to say that I LOVE the kitty and the unicorn. How do you do it? Even the darned graphics OOZE cuteness??? 🙂 Can’t wait for Serendipity!!!!!!!
footprints..grandma
The pink depression tea cup and saucer, on the stack of books,……..memories of your grandmother.

I think it is the clouds moving out and the sun coming up again reminding you of your #6 and how she has been able to see past the clouds and forward to a new beginning 🙂 Congratulations to her!!
Can’t wait for Serendipity!! Here’s my guess – sea shells and starfish remind you of special treasures that your Grandpa makes. =)
I’m thinking the starfish, and your super-star little men! I wish I had one, I only have girls!
For me right off the bat, the star reminds me of Joe. I can go into a whole mushy tale of why but I have my ear infected child wanting her back tickled so she can sleep. Only so much typing with one hand.
Goodnight.
The Sand Bucket reminds you of your sister Sandi?
Well, I’m stumped. But I’ll say shells/starfish & Joe 🙂
I have no clue, but the shell on the right looks like it has eyes, a long nose and little crab claws. How’s that for random? 😉
I have no idea, wish I knew!!!
You and your sister had a pink sandbucket that you used to fight over! Ha! That’s something that sounds reasonable, as my sister and I used to fight over the pink stuff! 🙂
The shells and starfish remind you of your grandpa!
Since you said we have to look at it good, I’m not going for the obvious!
There looks like a shadow of an ‘S’ shape beside the bucket, so I’m going to say your son Sam 🙂
Have you heard of the starfish story?
The Starfish Story
Original Story by: Loren Eisley
One day a man was walking along the beach when he noticed
a boy picking something up and gently throwing it into the ocean.
Approaching the boy, he asked, What are you doing?
The youth replied, “Throwing starfish back into the ocean.
The surf is up and the tide is going out. If I don’t throw them back, they’ll die”.
“Son,” the man said, “don’t you realize there are miles and miles of beach and hundreds of starfish?
You can’t make a difference!”
After listening politely, the boy bent down, picked up another starfish,
and threw it back into the surf. Then, smiling at the man, he said
“I made a difference for that one”.
I’m going to guess that you love each and every one of us, who love MJ, who welcome you in to our families. You make a difference to us and we love you, too!
Your cute grandpa and the penny necklace the girl is wearing in that amazing green dress!!!
Tough one….grandfather and the shells!
starfish & you’re sweet Grandpa…. just like everytime i see a rainbow, i know my Granny is with me… the day of my Granny’s funeral it was pouring rain but when we got to the graveside to say our goodbyes the rain stopped & a rainbow appeared… i knew that she was still with me… oh how i love that memory!!!
This may be a long shot, but the starfish looks like it is held up with a straw, and I know you love McDonald’s drinks (with straws). So does the straw remind you of McDonald’s and Sam McDonald? 🙂
If you were talking about the pic above the sand bucket. The backdrops reminds me of something you would have painted with your sunshine Sara Brown….
Bracelets the girls are wearing are similar to crafts you grandfather liked to do.
Bucket for your sister nickname, Bucket, Sand, Sands…I believe your brother use to tease her with this nickname…. 😉
starfish and your grandpa
I’m going to say the books on the table and your grandfather….just to be different…
The sand/starfish reminds you of Sandi 😉
I would say the pinkish/peach glass bowl and saucer that remind you of your grandmother. 🙂
Is there a penny necklace I see? Your grandpa!
the starfish reminds you of your grandpa
I’m going to say that the picture reminds you of going to the beach and collecting shells with your brother Doug who you LOVE 🙂
Your grandpa…collecting things on the beach
yes, when you were surprised with the starfish Charlynn by your goddaughter!!! 🙂 What a sweet memory!! 🙂
OKay, so what picture are we talking about? The bucket or the Serendipity teaser?
If you look really close on the shell on the right you can see the image of LumIere from Beauty and the Beast which then naturally reminds you of the Beast, a.k.a. Gabe. How’s that for looking really good??
I am going to say your husband David, because of the starfish reminds me of a star, the North Star to be specific. The star that guides you home.
I am going to have to go with the starfish and your Grandfather! Mostly admittedly a guess but since my Grandpa lives in Hawaii it reminds me of mine. 🙂
I so wish I could come up with this one… How about the star fish and Gabe, your little superstar? or The Shell with those big puppy dog eyes, looking like your puppy? Or How about the pink bucket with that handle looking like the big smile of your best friend. Okay, last guess…it’s your hubby, David, and the sand reminds you of that special trip you took to the beach!
Sandi!!!! She was nicknamed Bucket by her brother and sisters 🙂
I’m going to have to go with the starfish. I’m not sure who the person behind the memory is, but that starfish reminds me of Patrick the starfish…you know…SpongeBob’s best friend? I know I’m wrong, but I would imagine it generally follows the whole Serendipity theme, because reading Patrick’s bio….I think the discoveries he makes are purely by chance.
So…The starfish…Patrick…Spongebob’s buddy. Right?
The sand, spring break, and you family. (David & boys)
I have no clue but im going to try to guess!! Summer days with your family on the beach and your grandfather? 🙂
I am going with the starfish and your grandma!!
Beach – Renee
Sand – Renee
Starfish – Renee
Shells – Renee
Seashells and the sand. Walking on the beach when you were a little girl holding your grandfather’s hand and looking for shells with him. <3
I say the sand and shells remind you of trips to the beach with your sister while growing up!
I think the starfish remind you of Joe and his “stars” chart (and Gabe wanting the star cookies)
I’ll never guess correctly, so I’m going to with the unicorn and Rainbow Brite. 🙂
I get so flustered with contests but i’ll give it a whirl. I’m wanting to say the starfish (or shells) and time spent with your brother Doug:) but i also want to say your boys and David and the recent family getaway you shared?
Well, all the pictures are great, but I am going to go with the sanddollar reminding you of your sweet grandpa! 🙂 (p.s…my niece still has that precious necklace he made)! 🙂
The interview is fantastic – you made me nervous with all the pre-interview nerves … and then you just gave us permission to make fun of it! The most delightful surprise! Your interviewer!! She is totally presh – how could you not smile all the way through! The pictures are perfect! BTW, I love the entire magazine!
Pretty sure it is the sandbucket that reminds you of Sandi:)
Hmm going with the unicorn – aren’t they a sign of good luck?
And my daughter Mya says it the new line Serendipity!!! 2 more
sleeps!
I noticed the shadows – behind the bucket and under the bucket handle and I am going to guess a memory with some loved family member (maybe you and your darling sons) playing with y’alls shadows because my two girls and I do this all the time – in fact just this week we were making our shadows hold hands!! 🙂
The starfish & Your grandma.
The interview was fantastic – you made me nervous with all the pre-interview nerves and then you just gave us permission to make fun of it! The most delightful surprise! Your interviewer!! She totally presh – how could you not smile all the way through! The pictures are perfect! BTW, I loved the entire magazine!
Doug…the sand. 🙂
The handle is off the bucket on one side- and it makes you think of Joe???
Long shot-but I’m going to say that the starfish reminds you of Joe. Both grow in a manner that is just kind of amazing.
Long shot- but I’m going to say that the starfish reminds you of Joe. Both grow in a manner that is just kind of amazing.
I would guess the Sandbucket/Sandi
okay, here is my guess…..Is it Joe and the piece of land that you bought on his 3rd birthday?
