WARNING: My brain is spinning so this may be a bit hard to read…sometimes I just don’t make sense.
The Year We Build a House. When I was in second grade our teacher sent us home with a little tin bank shaped like a globe. We were asked to save our spare change in the bank. At the end of the school year the banks were collected and donated to missionaries around the world. I thought it was the coolest thing ever to be part of such a huge project. And I am so dang excited about this. The 435 girls and the Trunk Keepers can hardly wait to start building. We are going to do this for 2 seasons. Full details will come with your bank. And please, I know I may sound weird saying this, but please keep this bank close to your heart. It is intended to help others and not be sold on eBay!!
Matilda Jane Clothing is hopeful you will feel the same about this little House of Clouds bank. We will collect the banks at the end of the season and send them out again when our fall 2011 season begins. It is our hope that the money received will allow Matilda Jane and Habitat for Humanity to build a house for a needy family and prepare them to take ownership and “Spread the Love!”
Look for your bank in your House of Clouds order **While supplies last
I am so excited to get this season started. I have such a great feeling about it. The House of Clouds Collection has made firsts. It is the first collection I actually let someone help me with, that being the famed Sam MacDonald. It is the first collection we worked with Pan and Iris on. They opened our eyes to many firsts…new labels, packaging, buttons, tags. And the first season we shipped by boat!! Today we were all grinning at 435 because it is the first time ever we had full production before the season has started. That means no Back Orders!! I just love this season. I am totally on Cloud Nine, yup in a super cute House!
One more good thing…those cute Faith Tees that many of you saw today and probably noticed nothing at all (the typo is pretty subtle, huh?) Well, after reading comments and talking with the MJC gals, we decided to donate all profits form Faith to Turnstone. This is the place that helped us afford all the therapy Joe needed when he was younger. I chose Turnstone because they have given me and my family so much and I have never re-paid them. This totally makes my heart skip a beat and can hardly wait to present them a huge check. They have no idea so it’s gonna be great!
And just because I love Bamboletta and all that they are!!! Check out the link and I’ll have to share my story of how I fell in love this week
