She got it from her Mama

Oh I already know today is going to be a great one. I mean it’s Friday. That’s usually reason enough for all of our girls at 435 to have an extra skip in their step. Plus the sun is shining on us here in this old brick building today, high of 73 and sunny! The perfect weather where we can dress like it’s summer, but not worry about sweating on each other ha! You guys probably already know I have the sweatiest face known to man, and if you don’t know, you’ll find out at Art Fair! The other girls aren’t nearly as sweaty, I promise! I so love it when it’s finally warm enough to wear summer dresses and sandals—saying goodbye to the tights and boots until Fall. Well, of course not my cowboy boots… But that’s another story all together.

Another wonderful reason to smile is our fierce army of Team Leaders are in town! I haven’t seen them yet since they got in last night, but I definitely did my make up todayAll six of them are such strong, intelligent, and beautiful woman…they make me nervous! But in a good way. A way that I just want to be strong and composed they like all seem to be. And I want to look as fabulous as they ALWAYS do too!! But that’s true for all of our lovely Trunk Keepers… Serious, you would think our conference each summer was a fashion show if you saw all these ladies in one place!

And tonight I’m lucky enough to go to dinner with these woman that just exude confidence and strength. I’m nervous, as usual, but pretty darn excited too. I can’t wait to hear what they think of Fall 2012 and what they predict your favorites will be! And they will have seen Spring 2013 cut outs by now too! I hope they love it. I certainly do. It’s my absolute favorite Spring Collection to date–and it’s only PAPER cut outs right now! You know that’s a good sign. I gotta admit though…the Gouda Dip at Club Soda is another reason I’m excited for dinner. Any ladies from Fort Wayne been there? It’s Denise and my FAVORITE spot in town. My bff Megan’s too. Ya the cocktails are 9 dollars, but you really only need one (or two ha!)…and like I said THE GOUDA DIP is a cheesy heaven.

Last but not least it’s Mother’s Day weekend! I won’t say too much about this because Jami Davis said it so well in her post below. Man she has a way with words. I’m just happy to have a reason to take my mom out to breakfast and buy her a new car stereo. Yup, that’s what she said she wanted this year…so that she could “jam” in her car. I love that crazy woman. And I know I’m crazy because I’m exactly like her. Oh well, could be worse
